High Spirits at Ginfused Festival

In February 2020, gin-lovers gathered at Brunswick Street’s Pig ‘N’ Whistle to celebrate Brisbane’s first ever Ginfused Festival. The one-day-only event took place on 29 February, and was a collaborative effort from Mantle Group Hospitality and a range of local and international distilleries, created to celebrate the history and iconic status of one of the world’s most beloved drinks – gin.

The festival, which welcomed a full-house of attendees ready to  eat, drink and be merry under the Brunswick Street fairy lights, showcased some of the best gins from around the world, including drafts from Brookies, Tanqueray, 23rd Street, Four Pillars, Nosferatu, Jinzu, Winston Quinn, and Boodles Gin. Australian drops were also on display, with revellers enjoying local brews from Australian Distilling Co, The West Winds Gin, Archie Rose Distilling Co, and Laceys Hill Distillery.

In the spirit of perfect pairings, as well as gin-tastings, festival-goers were also offered charcuterie boards and free cocktail masterclasses. As the afternoon faded into evening, members of the gin-loving community were treated to live, local music.

Set against the backdrop of Fortitude Valley’s busy social scene, Ginfused Festival was an unmissable event that left its attendees in high spirits.
