Noosa on Weyba

The 84 hectare Noosa on Weyba development is a beautiful waterfront property in the growth area of the Sunshine Coast, a few minutes by car to the regional shopping centre Noosa Civic and around 10 minutes to Hastings Street, the heart of Noosa.

A large portion of the site offers North East views over Lake Weyba and the land has direct lake frontage.

The Noosa on Weyba project was classified as Queensland’s first and currently only Biodiversity Development Offset Area (BDOA) project.

The BDOA listing, which was handed down by the State Government in February 2012, means that Mantle Group will gift a portion of the site back to the community as an extension to the Noosa National Park at no cost to the State, if development approvals are received.

Under the BDOA, 139.5 hectares of land would be made available as an expansion to the Noosa National Park, linking two isolated areas of the existing Noosa National Park together and making them accessible to the public.

The remaining 163 hectares of the site would be available for residential zoning and development; however current plans show that only 19 per cent of the entire site or 35 per cent of the 163 hectare site would be developed if approved.
