Redbank Plains, Pig ‘N’ Whistle is coming!
June 20, 2016
What better way to celebrate the launch of our new website than to announce that a seventh Pig ‘N’ Whistle venue is joining the family! Destined for Redbank Plains, our newest venue will have an 850sqm inside and 500sqm outside area. It will be the only Pig ‘N’ Whistle outside of Brisbane.
Riverside, Queen Street Mall and King George Square are where Brisbane-ites can currently get their Pig ‘N’ Whistle fix in the CBD whilst Indooroopilly, West End and Fortitude Valley are the city fringe homes to the renowned British pub. Pig ‘N’ Whistle has become a household name throughout Queensland, and residents of Redbank Plains will soon have their own taste (no pun intended) of traditional British fare, live sport and music.
PIG ‘N’ WHISTLE REDBANK PLAINS
The location of the newest Pig ‘N’ Whistle will be at Town Square Redbank Plains. The development will bring a new Coles supermarket, Aldi, Target and 60 other specialty stores to the already existing Redbank Plains Retail Centre. An expansive space has been secured to complement a variety of retail stores, that will offer a fantastic dining experience for local residents. As CEO Arj Rupesinghe states, “we are particularly excited about this venue”.
Pig ‘N’ Whistle Indooroopilly was the first of ‘The Pigs’ to open in Brisbane, with Riverside following closely in 2002. The concept behind Pig ‘N’ Whistle exploded in popularity and further growth was inevitable. An affiliation with Brisbane football supporters largely facilitated this growth. Owners Godfrey and Jenny Mantle have managed to achieve something that not many business owners have; a group of honest, reliable pubs with a strong focus on high-quality, locally sourced food. Redbank Plains will boast a similar offering to its counterparts, with a team of dedicated and talented chefs working to continuously evolve menus to match the seasons. Each menu is always unique, offering an array of delicious dishes that exude British character. Our menus change seasonally, although the old favourites don’t. We cannot yet reveal when Pig ‘N’ Whistle Redbank Plains will open. However, what we can tell you is that it will be this year. To get the full scope from Hospitality Magazine, click here.
